Thanks to your past support, our staff has grown, and now we need to renovate our building. An expanded newsroom, new equipment, updated studios and a home for Classical 90.5 and WFPK staff will ensure that your favorite programs, online features, videos and more will be here for years to come.

1st Floor

Our lobby is valuable real estate that houses unnecessary and outdated equipment. We will redesign the space to be a welcoming area for guests waiting for WFPK’s Live Lunch, a media class arriving for a tour or anyone else who’s coming to visit.

Our Performance Studio is the heart of our building. Hundreds of people enjoy the space every week, but it wasn’t built with current needs in mind. New technology will enable us to better capture the performances to share online with our global audience.

With space that is more functional, we will be able to increase the public events we host and the number of guests we welcome to Louisville Public Media.

2nd Floor

The new, modern Barry Bingham, Jr. Newsroom will be evidence of the vitality of this organization and symbolize our organizational commitment to multi-platform news and journalism.

And a new Classical 90.5 office space will be built so that all on-air hosts and producers can work together. This renovation will bring the classical team together for the first time, giving them the space necessary to do their work.

3rd Floor

Taking advantage of an unused storage space on the 3rd floor, we will create a new home for WFPK. Finishing this area will finally give all of our on-air hosts their own personal desks and provide a great meeting space.
